Benoît-Carl Coulombe, based in Montreal, is a core member of our Global CFO Practice Group and spends much of his time recruiting CFOs and other senior finance executives in Montreal and Toronto, across various industries. In addition, he has extensive experience assessing and recruiting board members as well as other senior-level executives such as CEOs, business unit presidents, CROs, and CHROs. Benoît’s practice spans across various industries including financial services, professional services, technology and communications and real estate. Benoît-Carl also leads the firm’s Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Professionals practice in Canada.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Benoît-Carl was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in London as part of its oil and gas team. Before that he worked as an M&A lawyer for Linklaters, based in London, with assignments in Germany and Switzerland. He began his career as a corporate lawyer with Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose Fulbright).
Benoît-Carl earned a civil law degree (LLL) from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He is passionate about his family and friends and about spreading as much happiness as possible to the people around him. Benoît-Carl is also a health and fitness buff with a keen interest in science.

Avant cela, il était avocat spécialisé en fusions et acquisitions pour Linklaters à Londres, pour lequel il a aussi effectué des missions en Allemagne et en Suisse. Finalement, Benoît-Carl a commencé sa carrière comme avocat au sein du prestigieux cabinet canadien Ogilvy Renault (devenu Norton Rose Fulbright).
Benoît-Carl est titulaire d’une licence en droit civil (LL.L.) de l’Université d’Ottawa et d’une maîtrise en administration des affaires de l’INSEAD de Fontainebleau, en France.
