FundFire – Asset Funds Need More Tech Experts
Recent high-profile hacks have encouraged asset funds to tighten up their cybersecurity, reports FundFire. This, in turn, has boosted demand for tech experts. According to Egon Zehnder consultant Kal Bittianda, many of the larger asset funds already have chief information officers, but the smaller funds are now looking for senior technology experts too. “For the mid-tier players, the business case [for these hires] is less defined as the risks are unknown,” notes Bittianda. “[Smaller managers] have to be much more creative because they don’t have the solution to just throw more money [at the issue],” he explains.
