IMS Health – CIOs Needed to Drive Digital Healthcare Transformation

Technological advances and major shifts in the medicine marketplace are pressuring life sciences CIOs to play a more strategic role in driving commercial success through digital transformation. These are the key findings of a recent study entitled, New Strategic Information and Technology Roles in Life Sciences Companies conducted by the Institute for Healthcare Informatics in collaboration with Egon Zehnder. The study presents a new ITTS Framework to measure company progress towards transformation and highlights the skills and competencies needed by today’s CIOs to successfully steer change in the life sciences industry.
