Reuters and FMT News – Reuters – Banks Seek Senior-Level Risk Officers
Tougher banking regulations have boosted demand for compliance, risk and legal officers in an otherwise lackluster recruitment market, reports The Chicago Tribune. Spurred on by a series of high-profile scandals, banks are also increasing their compliance and risk budgets. “Now that risk is really briefing the board at every meeting, the risk officer has to be a much more senior level hire with more gravitas, with more influence and communication skills,” explains Egon Zehnder consultant Lisa Zonino.
