The Wall Street Journal – Chinese Internet Firms Flooded by Top Talent

Leadership talent is flooding to China’s fast-growing internet sector. Chinese managers are attracted to the sector by its dynamic work environment and higher compensation, writes The Wall Street Journal. Experts say this trend is wider and deeper than talent migration seen back in the days when internet businesses were less mature. Bill King, Egon Zehnder’s Technology Practice Leader in China agrees. Beyond operational positions internet firms are increasingly seeking experts in fields ranging from payments and consumer credit to tourism, notes King. “It’s evident that local digital companies are increasingly investing in talent,” he adds.
