Financial Times – Top Family Businesses Put Customers and Employees First
Family businesses that succeed over several generations tend to boast a cohesion and sense of purpose that come from within, reports the Financial Times citing recent research by Egon Zehnder. The research identifies two factors that support the longevity of family businesses: structured CEO succession and an enduring sense of values, or “family gravity”. According to Egon Zehnder, this quality is embodied by leaders who “tend to embrace strategies that put customers and employees first and emphasize social responsibility.”
