Based in Tokyo, Toru Suzuki is active in Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice, supporting clients with his deep expertise in automotive, transportation and high tech. He enjoys great respect for his highly professional services, which include global management appraisal and leadership development, CEO succession planning, and executive and board search.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Toru was a consultant with A.T. Kearney in Tokyo focusing on strategy, M&A and operations for clients in the automotive, consumer goods, financial services and governmental sectors. Before that he served as a Senior Project Engineer for chassis design and vehicle development at Nissan North America.
Toru earned a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan (graduating magna cum laude as a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society) and then an MBA in strategy and international business from that institution’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. A U.S. citizen, he is fluent in both Japanese and English. Outside work, he enjoys traveling with his wife and two children, skiing, and doing volunteer work with students.

ミシガン大学 機械工学部卒業、ミシガン大学 ロス経営大学院 MBA取得。
