Quartz India – Coding Requires Constant Curiosity
As emerging technologies are set to take over IT jobs in India and around the world, candidates need to show more than just an engineering degree and expertise in programming languages to join this disrupted workforce. While technology skills are still sought-after, it is more important for applicants to show how these skills were put to use. This renewed focus on business intelligence, AI and machine-learning applies not just to entry-level talent, but to senior management as well. Pallavi Kathuria, Egon Zehnder’s office leader in New Dehli, Mumbai and Bangalore, said senior managers need to have “the risk appetite to capitalise on opportunities as they arise, and a deep and constant curiosity to expand on their already deep technological expertise.”
