Bauer Business Focus – Energy Companies Recruit More Tech Leaders

Energy companies are finally starting to take IT seriously, says Egon Zehnder consultant Trent Aulbaugh in an interview with Bauer Business Focus. “This is really groundbreaking because they [energy companies] are really focused on the strategic application of technology,” explains Aulbaugh. In his view, the energy industry has made a real push to innovate through technology over the past two years. Some traditional industry jobs are being replaced by technology, notes Aulbaugh, this is creating new opportunities for individuals taking IT decisions and reflects a broader trend across many sectors.
