Leveraging her career background and passion, Katharina von Frankenberg actively engages in Egon Zehnder’s Financial Officers, Private Capital, and Industrial practices. She helps firms master change processes in their leadership, and corporate culture, and serves clients in executive search, management appraisal, and leadership development for individuals and teams. In addition, she accompanies the integration of managers into new environments in order to develop impact as quickly as possible.
I am energized by accompanying senior executives on their journey and supporting their personal development, as well as to understand companies in their strategic transformation; and ultimately combining both effectively.
Katharina is an active member of the CEO & Board Practice Group and the Board Academy e.V.. As part of the Board Academy and in cooperation with the national Council for Sustainable Development and ESMT Berlin, she is a co-founder of the German Chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative in collaboration with the World Economic Forum. She drives the discussion on sustainability and climate protection at board level.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Katharina spent over 15 years with Ernst & Young and advanced to the role of Partner. She led a 50-member team specialized in M&A taxation, serving both major German and multinational corporations and internationally active private equity funds. Katharina began her career at Arthur Andersen. Katharina is a certified tax consultant and earned a Diplom-Kauffrau degree from the University of Bayreuth.
Aufbauend auf ihrem beruflichen Hintergrund sowie ihrer Leidenschaft engagiert sich Katharina von Frankenberg aktiv in den Bereichen Finanzvorstand, Private Equity und Industrial von Egon Zehnder. Sie hilft Unternehmen dabei, Veränderungsprozesse in ihrer Führungs- und Unternehmenskultur zu meistern. Sie unterstützt Klienten bei der Suche nach Führungspersönlichkeiten, bei der Beurteilung des Managements und bei der Entwicklung von Individuen und Teams. Darüber hinaus begleitet sie die Integration von Manager:innen in neue Unternehmensumfelder, um deren Wirksamkeit schnell zu erreichen.
Katharina von Frankenberg ist aktives Mitglied der CEO & Board Praxisgruppe und der Board Academy e.V. Als Mitglied der Board Academy und in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Nationalen Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung und der ESMT Berlin ist sie Mitbegründerin des German Chapter der Climate Governance Initiative in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Weltwirtschaftsforum. Bevor Katharina von Frankenberg zu Egon Zehnder kam, war sie über 15 Jahre bei Ernst & Young tätig und führte als Partnerin ein 50-köpfiges Team, das auf M&A-Steuern spezialisiert war und sowohl große deutsche als auch multinationale Unternehmen und international tätige Private-Equity-Fonds betreute. Ihre Karriere begann sie bei Arthur Andersen.
Katharina von Frankenberg ist Steuerberaterin und hat einen Abschluss als Diplom-Kauffrau der Universität Bayreuth.
