My distinctiveness is at the intersection of external and internal talent—identifying and developing internal CEO candidates and knowing the best external talent. The impact is demonstrable in financial performance and ability to lead in complexity.
Prior to Egon Zehnder, Steve led the Strategy and Technology practice at KPMG Consulting. Previously, he was a Partner at Andersen Business Consulting, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.
Steve has a BS from Brigham Young University, an MBA from Rice University, and he is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. Steve has certifications as an executive coach and team coach. Steve is committed to the community, whether helping to organize thousands of hurricane-relief volunteers or developing leadership capabilities in promising youth. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and he has hiked the Grand Tetons each year for 15 years.
