Based in Lisbon, Jorge Valadas leverages his international experience to support clients in Portugal and more broadly across the Iberian peninsula. He is also an active part of Egon Zehnder’s Technology & Communications Practice. Jorge is passionate about helping his clients find, assess, and develop talented executives, improve team effectiveness, and navigate change.
My sense of purpose is satisfied when I succeed in making a sustainable impact. My goal is to identify executive candidates who match the client’s objectives and are motivated and fulfilled by the challenges involved.
Before becoming an Egon Zehnder consultant, Jorge gained experience at McKinsey & Company’s Lisbon, São Paulo, and Madrid offices before serving at Oracle as a Senior Director of Operations and Senior Director of Partner Strategy, Development and Engagement.
Jorge earned an undergraduate degree and a master’s in computer engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon before completing an MBA at the University of Navarra’s IESE Business School, supplemented by a semester abroad at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. In his private life, Jorge enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and the family dog. A self-described geek at heart, he enjoys both board and video games. Jorge is also an avid gym rat, working out as often as possible.
