Sophie Hanson

Based in London, Sophie Hanson has deep experience in CEO succession, C-suite and Board succession projects. Her focus is on the consumer sector with a broad knowledge of retail, having co-founded and led the firm’s global Retail, Practice Group from 2009-2019. Sophie is also a certified Executive Coach with extensive experience in leadership development work. Her clients include quoted and private equity-backed companies as well as family businesses.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Sophie was Director of Marketing and Business Development for Stella McCartney. Previously, she worked as a Marketing Director in roles with the LVMH Group and the Richemont Group. In her early career, Sophie held a variety of brand management positions with Revlon.

Sophie has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Barnard College at Columbia University.
