Based in Milan, Cecilia Varzi is active in Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice, leveraging her broad industry expertise and deep understanding of turnaround and change management to help clients reshape their business models for sustained success. She is especially passionate about supporting family-run businesses, while focusing on management appraisals, leadership development, and recruitment of suitable candidates for C-suite positions.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Cecilia spent a decade with the Boston Consulting Group, progressing to the role of Principal while focusing on that organization’s Industrial Goods, People & Organization, and Turnaround practices.
Cecilia earned Bachelor’s Degrees in economics from Queen Mary University in London and Bocconi University in Milan, then an MS in Management from Bocconi and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City. In addition to her native Italian, Cecilia speaks fluent French and English. Outside work, she is passionate about traveling the world with her partner and two children, staying fit by hiking in the Alps and running, and advocating diversity and inclusiveness.
