Marshall Lux

Based in New York, Marshall Lux is a core member of Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services Practice Group, advising C-suite clients on financial services, technology, private equity and risk management. He brings extensive consulting experience in banking and insurance, recognized for his collaborative approach and impactful client partnerships.

At the heart of my philosophy is: it’s all about people, period. Do the right thing, always tell the truth, do great work. And help all the people you touch.

Marshall also serves as a Senior Advisor at BCG, where he previously was a Senior Partner, leading the global private equity practice. Earlier, he was the Global Chief Risk Officer for Chase, overseeing all consumer products. He began his career at McKinsey, advising financial services firms across diverse subsectors and functions, and leading the firm’s Private Equity and Technology practices.

Marshall earned his bachelor’s degree from the Woodrow Wilson School (now the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs) at Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude. He also attended Harvard Business School as a Baker and Ford Scholar.

An active board leader, Marshall holds positions with organizations such as Flagstar and Mphasis. He also serves on the Investment Committee of the Simons Foundation, one of the largest U.S. charitable organizations supporting research in mathematics and basic sciences. Marshall is a Senior Fellow at leading academic institutions, including Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Law School, Georgetown University’s Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy, Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and the Wharton Initiative on Financial Policy and Regulation at the University of Pennsylvania.
