Luis Cubillos cofounded Egon Zehnder’s Santiago office. He works with clients on CEO and board recruitment and has deep expertise in mining and natural resources, key sectors of the Chilean economy. He is active in board recruitment and in Board effectiveness reviews, and works to improve corporate governance practices in the Chilean business world. He is also an expert in leadership advisory projects, advising companies in CEO succession challenges and in Family business. Luis is passionate about diversity issues, particularly opportunities for women in the workforce that improve their overall work-life balance.

Luis began his career in marketing and sales at SC Johnson & Son. He was then CEO of a salmon farming and agribusiness company at Pathfinder Investments, a diversified Chilean business conglomerate.

Luis graduated from the Catholic University of Chile with a degree in business administration and has an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He is the former President of the Advisory Council for Generación Empresarial, a nonprofit organization promoting values and ethics in the Chilean business community. Luis is a frequent guest lecturer on corporate governance and leadership and has also teaches classes at the ESE business school in the Universidad de los Andes. He is passionate about creating opportunities for working mothers. Luis loves spending time with his six children, thirteen grandchildren, and wife of 40 years. He is also an avid golf and padel player and enjoys traveling to play at new golf courses.
