Joanna Hewson, based in Sydney, is a consultant at Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services and Human Resources Practice Groups. Joanna brings extensive experience in leadership advisory and development, culture change, and strategic human resources. Deeply rooted in a collaborative and human-centered approach, she works closely with executives to help them navigate complex challenges and create meaningful, sustainable change aligning both with organizational goals and individual growth.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Joanna spent eight years in Management Consulting and led Deloitte’s Financial Services Leadership practice in the UK. Joanna primarily worked with clients in retail and investment banking, financial markets, asset management, and insurance, as well as clients in technology, sports and professional services. Her work focused on helping senior leaders unlock their potential and guide large-scale behavior and cultural transformations within their organizations. Additionally, she has served as a strategic HR business partner at Westpac Group in Australia and London, providing expert coaching and advice to leaders across institutional banking and BT Financial (part of Westpac Group). Joanna also brings academic experience from INSEAD Business School, where she co-authored an award-winning case study on organizational behavior.
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Arts Psychology with First Class Honors and is an accredited Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. She is also trained in Agile Project Management. Outside of work, Joanna enjoys traveling, running, and cycling. Now living in Australia with her young family, she finds joy in camping and beach trips, alongside her occasional hobby of painting.
