Ziggy Napier, based in Sydney, Australia, supports clients as a member of Egon Zehnder’s Industrial and Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Professionals practices. She draws on extensive experience in the private and public construction and infrastructure sectors, having held legal, engineering and commercial roles at professional services firms, contractors and asset owners.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ziggy spent seven years at the Sydney Opera House overseeing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technical specialists and project, construction and commercial managers. Most notably, she and her team delivered the highly successful Decade of Renewal, a capital works program to renew the building for future generations of artists, audiences and visitors. The project involved a complex, deep transformation that touched all corners of the iconic structure. That was preceded by the role of Associate at the Worley Parsons Group, where Ziggy advised private and public sector clients on their infrastructure needs. Earlier she was a solicitor specialised in construction law with King & Wood Mallesons, during which time she was also seconded to Anderson, More & Tomotsune in Tokyo. Ziggy also worked as an engineer for civil and industrial construction contractor Bilfinger Berger AG (now Bilfinger SE) in Hamburg, Germany.
Ziggy earned a bachelor of laws degree and a bachelor of civil engineering degree (both with first class honours) from the University of Sydney. Being passionate about encouraging students to pursue careers in engineering, she is actively involved in the UNSW Civil Engineering Work Experience Program and serves as a counsellor on the University of Sydney’s Council of Civil Engineers. Ziggy has a young daughter with her partner and enjoys road trips, camping and going on trekking holidays to countries like Morocco, Nepal and Japan.
