Junichi Iwagami, based in Tokyo, is the leader of our Financial Services practices. He is also active in Industrial practices as well as board consulting. A seasoned expert in fields including mergers and acquisitions, he draws on many years of management, banking, and consulting experience to intelligently advise clients who seek his help in dealing with corporate governance and other senior management issues.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Junichi was a Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group, where he worked with leading financial institutions and industrial goods companies on senior management issues including corporate strategy development, M&A and organizational transformation. Previously, he served as a Manager of the M&A Advisory Group of Arthur Andersen LLP in Tokyo as well as an Assistant Manager of the M&A Advisory Group at Sanwa Bank, Limited.
Junichi has earned a BA in economics from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

三和銀行（現三菱UFJ銀行）からキャリアをはじめ、国内営業店、企画部、コーポレートファイナンス部M&Aアドバイザリーチームに勤務。その後、ボストンコンサルティンググループに参加、パートナー＆マネージング・ディレクターとして、金融機関や商社、大手メーカーといった顧客企業に対し、企業価値向上に向けたコーポレート戦略立案やトランスフォーメーション推進、組織モデル改編やグローバルタレントマネジメント等の組織能力向上策検討といった幅広い経営課題への取組みをサポート。事業と財務の連携、企業戦略・組織構築・人材配置の一貫性を重視したコンサルティングを実践。
東京大学 経済学部卒業、ニューヨーク大学スターン・スクール・オブ・ビジネス卒業、MBA取得。
