Christoph Wollersheim

Christoph Wollersheim, based in Washington, D.C., supports clients as a co-leader of Egon Zehnder’s Artificial Intelligence and Aerospace & Defense practices. He draws on extensive experience in US Federal Government Consulting and has a proven track record as an AI and Data Analytics executive.

Many companies are scrambling to improve their AI maturity. I’m energized by helping them put together the best possible leadership teams for achieving their goals.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Christoph led the Advanced Analytics & Digital Solutions Division at Noblis in Washington, D.C., where his team brought AI and Data Science capabilities to the US Federal Government. That was preceded by the position of Global Head of Data Analytics & Insights at Arcadis in Berlin and Washington, D.C, where Christoph also served on the Boards of two of Arcadis’s Data Science subsidiaries (SEAMS and Arcadis Gen). Previously, Christoph brought Data and AI capabilities to aviation clients when he worked for global consulting companies: Christoph was an Advanced Analytics Expert at McKinsey Co. in Berlin and a Senior Lead Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton in Boston and Washington, D.C. As part of his career in academia, Christoph was a Research Scientist and Lab Executive Officer at MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He began his career as an analyst at Fraport AG, the operator of Frankfurt Airport.

Christoph earned an MBA from the University of Cologne and a PhD in Economics from the University of Münster. Outside work he likes running, playing golf and rowing, and enjoys flying planes as a licensed pilot. Christoph holds the rank of Major (res) in the German Air Force and is the Deputy Board Chair of the German International School in Washington, D.C. and a member of the German Executive Roundtable in D.C.
