Empowering professional women was the focus of a recent “Leaders & Daughters” event organized by Egon Zehnder in Bogota, Colombia to mark International Women’s Day. Managers from dozens of Colombian firms came together to discuss the results of Egon Zehnder’s latest Global Board Diversity Analysis surveying 7,000 professional women worldwide. According to the survey, women have become more ambitious over the past two years, especially the younger generation. Its results reveal that 74 percent of young women leaders aspire to an executive position, with developing economies like Brazil, China and India leading the way. Encouragingly, few young women reported problems finding a coach or mentor to support them.
