Compliance Officer: Personalities wanted!

“The requirements of the Compliance Officer have become more stringent than ever, above all in terms of personality.” Talking to Germany’s Compliance Manager magazine, Jörg Thierfelder explains that companies today are looking for “professionals who take compliance seriously, both as a standard of conduct and as a business factor.” As he goes on to say, if they are to operate in a targeted manner in a corporate environment, compliance officers must also be courageous, solution-oriented and good communicators. Thierfelder also says he has noticed “a greater openness in cross-industry exchanges.”
