Arabian Business – How to Manage the Middle East's Talent Crunch

With instability and rising living costs driving expats away, the Middle East is suffering from a serious talent shortage, reports Arabianbusiness.com. At the same time, young educated Middle Eastern candidates are struggling to find jobs with youth unemployment across the region averaging at 25 percent. According to experts at Egon Zehnder, the talent shortfall is partly due to a mismatch between the skills provided by Middle Eastern education systems and those actually needed by companies. Educational budget cuts due to regional economic uncertainty and falling oil prices will only widen this knowledge gap, they warn.
