Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung – Professional Networking in Digital Times
Digitalization and globalization are changing the face of networking, write Egon Zehnder consultants Berthold Leube and Christoph Wahl in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. While the focus may still be on promoting an international mindset, tolerance and understanding, today’s networkers also form transparent, temporary topic-based coalitions on digital platforms. Ultimately, however, the authors believe that networks are still a question of building up human relations. “Material criteria are important, but they are not everything,” they explain. “Friendship, enthusiasm and a commitment to society unrelated to a career are equally as important. Networking remains a hollow shelly if it does not embrace these values.”
