James Stark, based in Atlanta, is active in Egon Zehnder’s CFO and Audit Chair, Industrial, and Private Capital practices. He is passionate about helping clients solve problems, identify, and develop talent, grow strategically, and take advantage of opportunities to generate new value.
Many functional roles are evolving as businesses expect new capabilities and impact from senior executives. I love helping companies find the right individuals for creating lasting value.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, James was a Managing Director at World 50 in Atlanta, leading a private community of CFOs from Fortune 500 companies. In that role, he built relationships with executives to learn and collaborate through peer-to-peer learning, moderated conversations with world-class leaders, and best practice sharing. Before that, James served as the Director for Global Strategy and Corporate Development at IHG. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years at the Boston Consulting Group as a global expert on innovation and organic growth.
James earned a BA in economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a Dean’s Scholar. Outside of work, he enjoys economics, literature, music, and hiking in the north Georgia mountains with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
