Liz Evans, based in Brisbane, is active across Egon Zehnder’s Human Resources, Sustainability and Industrial practices. She is valued by clients for her devotion to identifying talented individuals and coaching them to nurture their abilities. Liz is especially passionate about getting all employees to participate in an inclusive, flexible and encouraging environment, which is an essential prerequisite for maximising organisations’ success.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Liz was the General Manager for People, Safety & Sustainability at Cement Australia in Brisbane. That was preceded by the position of Head of Human Resources for Australian Manufacturing at Incitec Pivot, also in Brisbane. Prior to that she was with Rio Tinto as the Group Advisor for Learning & People Development and General Manager for Recruitment & Talent. Earlier, Liz held other HR roles in Brisbane and Weipa in Queensland and Bell Bay in Tasmania.
Liz earned a BA in human resources and political science from the University of Tasmania and an MBA from the Queensland University of Technology. When not working she enjoys bushwalking and water sports with her family and is passionate about design and architecture.
