Lena Kilee is a core member of Egon Zehnder’s global Health Practice and also a member of the digital team within the Tech Practice. Based in Berlin, Lena conducts management appraisals, provides leadership development consulting for individuals and teams, and is responsible for executive and board appointments at major corporations, SMEs, and startups in the healthcare and technology sectors. Passionate about creating impact on issues of global importance, her clients also include social businesses, multilateral organizations, government agencies, foundations, and NGOs. Lena regularly works at the intersection of the private and the public sector, helping clients identify and attract Communications, Public Affairs and Government Relations Officers. She is an ICF certified coach and puts a lot of emphasis on tailored transition/onboarding support for her clients.

Lena has worked in Europe, China, the U.S., Afghanistan, and East Africa. Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, she was Director, Advisory Services and Business Development, at Horizon Client Access in New York, where she advised multinational clients on political risk management. In this role she played a part in numerous strategic and growth processes at globally active companies. Previously, Lena worked for the German federal government, first at the Federal Ministry of Interior in Berlin and then as Deputy Chief of Mentors for the European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan. Lena started her career as Personal Assistant to the Secretary General at the Association of German Foundations, in Berlin.

Lena earned a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and is a fully qualified lawyer.

Lena Kilee ist Mitglied des Digital Teams der Technology and Communications Praxisgruppe von Egon Zehnder. Vom Standort Berlin aus unterstützt sie sowohl Unternehmen, die digitale Transformationsprozesse meistern, als auch Disruptoren, die außerhalb klassischer Geschäftsmodelle agieren. Lena Kilee evaluiert und entwickelt Führungspersönlichkeiten sowie –teams und besetzt weltweit Führungspositionen in Konzernen, KMUs und Start-ups in der Konsum-, Technologie- und Medienbranche. Außerdem arbeitet Lena Kilee an der Schnittstelle zwischen Wirtschaft und Politik. Mit großer Leidenschaft setzt sie sich für die Lösung gesellschaftlicher Fragestellungen ein. Zu ihren Klienten zählen soziale Unternehmen, multilaterale Organisationen, Regierungsbehörden, Stiftungen und NGOs.

Lena Kilee bringt Berufs- und Lebenserfahrung aus verschiedenen Kontinenten mit. Sie hat in Europa, China, den USA, Afghanistan und Ostafrika gearbeitet. Bevor sie zu Egon Zehnder kam, hat sie als Director Advisory Services and Business Development bei Horizon Client Access in New York multilaterale Unternehmen im politischen Risikomanagement beraten. In dieser Funktion war sie an zahlreichen Strategie- und Wachstumsprozessen weltweit tätiger Unternehmen beteiligt. Zuvor war Lena Kilee für die Bundesregierung tätig, zunächst im Bundesinnenministerium in Berlin, dann als stellvertretende Chefberaterin für die Polizeimission der Europäischen Union in Afghanistan. Ihre Karriere begann sie als persönliche Assistentin des Generalsekretärs des Bundesverbands Deutscher Stiftungen in Berlin.

Lena Kilee erwarb einen Master of Public Administration an der Harvard-Universität in Cambridge, USA, und ist Volljuristin.
