André Abram, based in São Paulo, leads our Brazilian offices and is active in Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services and Private Capital practices. He meets the senior talent needs of clients across the consumer-finance, insurance, asset-management, banking, and private-investments sectors. André also supports private equity firms by satisfying their talent requirements at portfolio companies across industries. A certified coach, he conducts projects that go beyond executive search to include management appraisals and leadership development, and he provides advice on board nominations and assessments.
My work feels like that of an engineer, a behavioral psychologist, a performing artist, and an endurance athlete, all rolled into one.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, André was a consultant with McKinsey & Company in São Paulo, leading projects in financial services and public education. He started his career in Capital Markets with a boutique firm in Curitiba, Brazil, after being a trainee at Siemens Telecom.
André earned a BA in business administration from the Federal University of Paraná in Brazil, an MS in capital markets from IBMEC in Brazil, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is active at Fundação Estudar, serving as a mentor and coach to young high-potential professionals who have won scholarships, and he supports an organization that helps talented executives engage in public service in Brazil.
