Ângela Pêgas leads Egon Zehnder’s Board Practice in Brazil as well as its Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in Latin America. Her expertise also covers the retail, consumer goods and the services segments, where she consults on searches for C-Level executives. Given her previous career, Ângela is also very active on legal professionals' projects in Brazil. She consults on management appraisals, leadership development, CEO succession, team effectiveness reviews, board succession and board effectiveness reviews.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ângela was General Counsel with Ultrapar in São Paulo and before that worked as Capital Markets, M&A and International Legal Counsel at AMBEV. That was preceded by the New York-based position of Associate for Investment Banking in the Latin America Division of Goldman Sachs. Ângela began her career as Corporate Law Coordinator at RBS - Rede Brasil Sul de Comunicações in Porto Alegre.
Ângela earned an LLB from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the U.S. and a postgraduate degree in Economic and Corporate Law from the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
