Necip Engin Guven, based in Istanbul, is the co-leader of Egon Zehnder’s Consumer and Retail Practices in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). He is also active members of the Global Human Resources and Leadership Practices and active in Digital & Data, Family Advisory, Marketing and Finance Practices. Engin brings a holistic approach to talent and leadership topics at individual, team, and organization level. His focus areas include executive search, executive assessment and development, integration, team effectiveness and development, organization design, culture, digital & data and transformational change topics.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Engin served as a Senior Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company where he worked on multiple clients including top consumer, retail and telecom players and family holdings on priority topics such as organization & operating model design, business strategy, agile and digital transformation, cost optimization and transformational change in Turkey and abroad. That was preceded by various roles – Management Accountant Home and Personal Care, Global Supply Chain Strategy Project Leader, Marketing Operations Manager, and Executive Assistant to the Regional President – at Unilever in Istanbul and London. He began his career as a teaching assistant at Bilkent University in Ankara.
Engin earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Bilkent University. Later he qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Outside work, Engin is passionate about spending time with his family and friends, travelling around the world, walking / running and reading / watching thrillers. He also enjoys mentoring university students and younger colleagues in the firm and beyond.
