Gabi Carvalho, based in Miami, is a leader in the global financial services sector and brings extensive experience in CEO succession work. As a trusted advisor to Payments, Retail Banking, FinTech and Insurance companies, she also specializes in leadership assessment and development, as well as board search and effectiveness. Gabi recently co-led Egon Zehnder’s Global Financial Services Practice.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Gabi was at American Express, responsible for growing the Amex franchise business across Latin America. Previously, she worked in Strategy and led acquisition and bank partnerships for the Amex International Dollar Card business. She began her career at Citibank in Sao Paulo and at JP Morgan in Sao Paulo and NY.
Gabi has a BS from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She was selected for the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society’s Rising Talent Program. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her daughters and husband, meditating, running, and pro bono consulting to nonprofits.
