Francisco Paret, based in New York, is a member of the Financial Services, Private Capital, CEO and Board Consulting Practices. He led the Americas Financial Services Practice and has been part of the Firm’s Global Financial Services Leadership Team and of the U.S. Diversity Advisory Board. He works on a broad range of CEO, C-suite, and Board director search, succession planning, leadership development and consulting assignments across the financial services and fintech ecosystems. He also works extensively with alternative investments clients, principally in the areas of capital formation and in the recruitment of senior investment professionals and other leaders. As an executive coach, Francisco also supports senior executives in their development journeys.

Through my work here, I get to explore the answers to the questions that drive me: How can I help others give voice to their best selves? How can I help leaders build sustainably successful teams and organizations? Can we help build companies that stand for a greater good?

Before becoming a member of the Egon Zehnder team, Francisco was an investment banker for over a decade at firms such as Credit Suisse First Boston and Bear Stearns. He advised corporate and sovereign clients in the U.S. and Latin America on capital-raising, M&A and other strategic transactions. Francisco earned a BSBA in international management and finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has also been involved in diverse civic and community endeavors.

Francisco served on the White House Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic-Americans. He is a member of the board of Minds Matter, a national non-profit organization that connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future and change the world. Francisco was also a founding partner and member of the board of Social Venture Partners of the SF Bay Area, a venture philanthropy organization focused on issues of youth and education, and he served on the board of an East Palo Alto non-profit organization providing vocational and skills training to help students turn their lives around from poverty and unemployment. As the proud father of two young women, Francisco is also passionate about empowering women. He is an avid long-distance cyclist and fervent soccer fan, an eclectic reader, and a wine aficionado.
