People give me energy. I believe that we are all sources of learning, inspiration and opportunity for each other. Working to unlock these connections between people and within organizations is what drives my everyday work.
Carmen draws on deep expertise in consumer digital businesses, both as an advisor and as an operator. Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Carmen was in the Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice at McKinsey & Co., where her client work focused on multi-lever growth transformations, primarily in the consumer retail and tech sectors. Before McKinsey, she held a number of leadership positions in the Berlin start-up scene, including as CMO for an online retailer of kitchens.
Carmen holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics, an MA from the University of Vienna and an Honours BA from McMaster University. She is originally from Lima, Peru. Her immigrant experience and international exposure play an important role in her passion for community engagement and DEI topics. She now lives in Toronto with her husband and two young children.
