Toronto, ON and Montreal, QC –– March 31, 2025
Egon Zehnder, the world’s premier leadership advisory firm, has appointed two new leaders in Canada to oversee office operations in the country. Francisco Sagredo has been named Country Leader for Canada and Office Leader in Toronto, while Jodie Zimmerman-Frenkiel has been appointed Office Leader in Montreal.
“Francisco and Jodie represent the very best of Egon Zehnder — client-focused, community-minded, and deeply committed to nurturing talent,” said Francesco Buquicchio, CEO of Egon Zehnder. “Their appointments reinforce our continued investment in Canada and our confidence in the leadership capabilities of our team across the region. I’m excited to see the energy, insight and integrity they will bring to their new roles.”
Sagredo succeeds Marc Normandin as Country Leader for Canada and David Ain as Toronto Office Leader. Based in Toronto, Sagredo brings a deep understanding of the Canadian business landscape to his new role, having served clients across the industrial and consumer sectors. He currently co-leads Egon Zehnder’s Chief Financial Officer Practice in Canada. Known for his commercial acumen, collaborative leadership style and commitment to mentoring, Sagredo is recognized as a respected leader within the firm and the broader Canadian market.
“I’m honored to take on the role of Country Leader for Canada and lead our exceptional team in Toronto,” said Sagredo. “Egon Zehnder has a strong foundation in this market, and I’m excited to build on that momentum by working closely with our colleagues across the country and globally. Canada is a diverse and dynamic landscape, and I look forward to expanding our impact by continuing to partner with clients on their most complex leadership opportunities, while also enabling the development of our incredible next-generation talent within our firm.”
In Montreal, Jodie takes over the role of Office Leader from Marc Normandin. She is a trusted advisor to Canadian and global clients across the consumer, retail, and healthcare sectors, and plays a key role in Egon Zehnder’s founder and private capital practices. Jodie brings extensive experience in succession planning, team effectiveness, culture transformation and executive development to her new role. With a well-established and respected presence in Quebec’s business and philanthropic community, Jodie is poised to lead the Montreal office into its next chapter of growth and impact.
“Leading the Montreal office is a privilege, especially at a time when adaptive leadership and culture are more important than ever to the Firm and our clients across the world,” said Zimmerman-Frenkiel. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with Francisco and our colleagues across Canada and the globe to further strengthen our presence and purpose in the global market. Nous avons une équipe remarquable, et je suis motivée par l'opportunité de guider notre croissance au Québec et d'aider nos clients – ainsi que nos collaborateurs – à prospérer.”
Constantin von Oppen will continue to lead Egon Zehnder’s offices in Vancouver (PNW) and Calgary.
