Egon Zehnder Opens Basel Office to Strengthen Local Relationships

ZURICH – July 1, 2024 – Today, Egon Zehnder announced the opening of an office in Basel. This is the global executive search and leadership advisory firm’s response to the strong growth of its consulting business in Switzerland. The Basel office complements the existing Swiss offices in Zurich and Geneva. “Given our success story in Switzerland, the establishment of the Basel office is a strategically important step,” says Dominik Schaller, Managing Partner of Egon Zehnder Switzerland. “We are already advising leading companies in the Basel region, and with this new office, we are now even closer to these clients geographically.”

The Basel office is located at Rittergasse 35, 4051 Basel, and will be managed by Frank Heckner, a long-standing Egon Zehnder consultant.

In recent years, Egon Zehnder Switzerland has attracted many consultants and significantly expanded its client portfolio. The Basel team intends to continue this growth. “As a core economic region in the border triangle, Basel is one of the fastest-growing regions for Egon Zehnder in Switzerland after Zurich,” says Heckner.

Not only are many internationally successful companies from the pharmaceutical, MedTech industry, biotech, life sciences and consumer health sectors based here but also other local and global institutions from the industrial and chemical sectors and the service sector, among others. Frank Heckner: “We have been advising companies based in Basel for more than 40 years. With our new office, we want to further strengthen and expand these close and trusting relationships.”

A dedicated, experienced team of consultants with local roots will develop the Basel office over the coming years into “a platform and meeting place for intensive exchange between clients, candidates and Egon Zehnder consultants.” This is the prerequisite for further growth, because “personal encounters are playing an increasingly important role in the relationship between our team and our clients,” says consultant Fabian Schrank, who grew up and lives in Basel. The teams in Zurich, Geneva and Basel will work closely together to continue the success story of Egon Zehnder Switzerland.
