Egon Zehnder Reports Record 2021 Results with Unprecedented Demand

ZURICH  April 13, 2022: Egon Zehnder, the world’s preeminent leadership advisory firm, today announced strong 2021 annual results as leaders face higher levels of complexity and companies are adapting their culture to new ways of working while emerging from the pandemic. The Firm reported global revenues of CHF 804 million, up 20 percent from 2020 at constant exchange rates, with a 37 percent growth in leadership advisory services and double-digit top line growth across all continents and practices. It’s never mattered more who sits in the seats of power, and we remain strongly committed to upholding our purpose of Leadership for a Better World.

“We have seen an unprecedented level of demand for our leadership advisory, executive search, and CEO succession services. Our record results, which include the continued expansion of our consultant base, bolster our Firm’s confidence in the year ahead,” said Ed Camara, Egon Zehnder CEO. “Our clients have displayed an immense level of resilience and humanity during the ongoing pandemic, navigating uncertainty and talent challenges while also recognizing the need for self-development in order to lead their organizations into the future.” This is confirmed by a recent Egon Zehnder study, which found 78 percent of nearly a thousand global CEOs strongly agree their own self-transformation is mission critical for their organizations.

As organizations evolve and transform, a holistic approach to leadership services will also become increasingly central for their growth. “Egon Zehnder approaches our clients’ needs with an integrated lens, recognizing every company has its own set of challenges - from leadership development, to governance, to culture, to ESG, to talent, and beyond - that call for a human answer. This is the strategic path we chose to pursue and to which clients have positively responded,” said Jill Ader, Egon Zehnder Chairwoman. “Our unique One Firm structure is paramount to our ability to provide global advice to clients who are facing increased expectations for transformational leadership,” she added.

Egon Zehnder reaffirmed its long-term support of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and its own environmental, social and governance (ESG) activities by closing the year as a carbon-neutral Firm. In addition, the Firm also announced the commitment to cutting carbon emissions by 25 percent by 2024. Most recently, in February of 2022, the Firm released a study on sustainability, focusing on new perspectives, skills, and the mindset change that are needed to spur large-scale change.
