Gender equality on boards will never be achieved if the current appointment rates continue, a report by Egon Zehnder has found. Its latest study found that 20.4% of board seats of the largest companies globally are now held by women, an increase from 18.5% in 2016, but nearly three quarters of all new board positions worldwide still go to men.
