Egon Zehnder’s ‘The CEO: A Personal Reflection’ explores the human side of being a CEO. The survey was conducted among 402 chief executives globally, including 44 in India. More than half the CEOs (57%) said they had difficulty finding time for themselves and for reflection, while 55% of respondents said developing their senior leadership team was more or much more difficult than anticipated.
According to Vivek Khemka, who co-leads Egon Zehnder’s CEO Practice in India, chief executives are, in general, quite confident in their skills and their abilities, but at the same time also admit that certain parts of the role have proven more challenging and isolating than anticipated.
