With the psychological strains and time pressure of leadership growing steadily, more executives are looking for ways to ease the load, reports Die Welt am Sonntag. “Today we are mainly seeing a sporty, fit, wiry generation of managers,” confirms Michael Ensser, Managing Partner of Egon Zehnder Germany. Another common strategy is to take some time out. “The sabbatical is an accepted way of finding oneself without damaging your career,” notes Ensser.
