Based in Amsterdam, Jan Willem van den Bosch is an expert in financial services, with a specialization in wholesale banking, asset management, pension funds, and insurance. His deep knowledge of the Dutch financial services landscape helps him conduct leadership assessments and support strategic mandates. Jan Willem is active across Egon Zehnder’s Financial Officers, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Board Consulting practices.

Before coming to Egon Zehnder, Jan Willem worked for ABN Amro Bank, most recently as Regional Head for the Middle East, in Dubai, with responsibilities for wholesale, investment, retail, and private banking. Prior to that, he was the Country Manager for Aruba and the Country Head for Kazakhstan, and earlier Senior Relationship Manager for Integrated Energy clients in Paris. Jan Willem began his career as a Project Finance Manager for the bank in London.
Jan Willem earned a master’s in Dutch civil law from Leiden University in the Netherlands and completed the Program for Executive Development at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He serves on the board of the Maatschappij van Weldadigheid Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in the 19th century to help impoverished families. Watching his four children become adults inspires him to stay healthy and continue learning. Jan Willem is passionate about traveling and connecting with other cultures, and when not working enjoys biking, hiking, and golf as well as the arts and music.

Hij leidt nu de Financial Services praktijk in Amsterdam en richt zich op leiderschap vraagstukken bij o.a. banken, asset managers, pensioenfondsen en bij verzekeraars.
