Vivek Khemka leads executive search and provides expert leadership advisory services across multiple sectors. Based in Bangalore, he leads the Firm’s CEO practice and also the leads the firm’s Consumer and Consumer Tech practices. He is called in by clients to advise on pivotal people decisions, and on top team effectiveness and cultural transformation journeys.
I greatly enjoy three things about being at Egon Zehnder: (a) working with some amazing people at the firm; (b) supporting mission-driven companies looking to impact the world in meaningful ways; and (c) having lots of fun while doing this.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Vivek was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company. In addition to his work on strategy and operations topics, he led the inception of the McKinsey Leadership Institute. A certified coach, Vivek not only led innovative work on leadership development, but also delivered several initiatives himself for clients across the region. Previously, Vivek worked at GEMS Education, where he helped establish four schools, and at the Tata Administrative Service, where he worked across sectors.
Vivek has a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow; and a degree in policy from Harvard University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.
Vivek is very active in supporting educational institutions. He serves on the Board of Krea University, and works with multiple other institutions in an honorary capacity.
