Michael M. Winter, based in Düsseldorf, leads Egon Zehnder’s Health Practice in Germany and is also active in the firm’s Consumer Practice. He works with clients in the personal care, food and nutrition, consumer health, medical device, and pharma sectors. In addition to executive search, Michael focuses on individual and top-team assessment and development.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Michael held a number of leadership positions at Merck, most recently as General Manager Spain and Regional Director Southern Europe (Consumer Health). Previously, he was a strategy consultant with Monitor Group, working with clients in pharma, med-tech, and consumer goods.
Michael has a BA in business administration from Mannheim University and an MSc as well as a Diplôme de Grande Ecole de Gestion from ESCP-EAP in Paris, Oxford, and Berlin.

Er ist Mitglied der globalen Praxisgruppen Health und Consumer Goods und leitet die deutsche Health Praxisgruppe.
Vor seiner Zeit bei Egon Zehnder war Michael M. Winter bei der Merck KGaA tätig. Dort verantwortete er als Regional Director EMEA zunächst die Sparte Consumer Health Care in mehreren Ländern, bevor er als General Manager das Consumer-Health-Geschäft in Spanien leitete und den Südeuropa-Cluster steuerte. Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei Merck war er Projektleiter bei der Strategieberatung Monitor Group. Er betreute Projekte in ganz Europa, unter anderem für Klienten in den Sektoren Pharma, Medizintechnik, FMCG und Industriegüter, mit besonderen Schwerpunkten in den Bereichen Unternehmensstrategie, Produkteinführungen, Lifecycle Management sowie Marketing Excellence.
An der Universität Mannheim erwarb er sein Vordiplom in BWL und studierte im Anschluss Internationales Management an der ESCP-EAP in Paris, Oxford und Berlin. Sein Studium schloss Michael M. Winter mit dem Diplom-Kaufmann, dem Diplôme de Grande École de Gestion und dem Master of Science ab.
