Veli-Pekka Elonen brings insight and impact to a wide variety of Finnish and international industrial and service companies. Based in Helsinki, he leads global talent management projects and advises on board and CEO succession projects. He has helped large corporations execute demanding organizational change and integration projects and is also active in Egon Zehnder’s Assessment & Development, Media, Legal, and Digital practices.

Throughout his career, Veli-Pekka has adapted to the changing media, service, and industrial environments in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer as well as industrial operations. He began his career as an attorney for corporate, contract, and M&A issues, including intellectual property, and also held senior-level positions with the media group Sanoma.
Veli-Pekka has a Master of Laws from Helsinki University and an MBA from IMD, in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a previous chair of the Finnish IMD Alumni group. Outside of work, he enjoy scuba diving, skiing, and preparing elaborate meals with ingredients from his garden and greenhouse.
