Christian Schmidt, based in London, focuses on the industrial sector, assisting clients in natural resources, process, and manufacturing industries, with a particular focus on mining and metals. In addition to executive and Board searches, he has deep experience managing cross-border leadership assessment and development projects for global clients. As a member of the firm’s Financial Officers Practice, Christian has also led numerous CFO searches for both public and private companies, and leads Egon Zehnder’s CFO practice in the UK.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Christian was an independent consultant to the automotive industry. Previously, he was a Manager with AT Kearney in London where he consulted for a broad range of industrial clients with a particular focus on Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
Christian earned a BA from the University of California at Berkeley, an MPhil from Oxford University, and an MBA from INSEAD. When not working he spends as much time as possible with his family. He also enjoys early morning runs in London’s parks and is passionate about travel and exploring new cultures.
