Alejandro Folmer leads Egon Zehnder’s Consumer Practice in the Americas as well as the firm’s Global AgroFood segment, which he co-founded, leading engagements in a variety of clients from “farm-to-fork.” With deep expertise in consumer-packaged foods, nutrition, food & ingredients and upstream companies, Alejandro has advised a diverse range of clients on CEO succession, board effectiveness, executive search, assessment and development projects.

He joined Egon Zehnder in 2007 after a successful career with the Arcor Group, a South American-based, family-held, vertically integrated global confectionery manufacturer with more than $3.5 billion in total sales and operations in five continents. He has held roles within the USA Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial departments during a period of rapid expansion across North America. Previously, Alejandro led a Hispanic trade marketing campaign across the United States for Hershey’s, a key client of Marketing Werks.
Originally from Argentina, Alejandro holds a B.Sc. degree from Marquette University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His passion for food transcends work as he shares his culinary creations to the table for friends and family. Additionally, Alejandro has completed four half-Ironman races and is an Ironman finisher.
