Nobuko Tabata, based in Tokyo, has deep expertise advising family businesses and improving diversity and gender parity in management, along with supporting general executive assessment and development. She is active in Egon Zehnder’s Consumer, CEO, Board Consulting, and Diversity & Inclusion practices.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Nobuko was a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company. Previously, she was in a management position within a family-owned business. Nobuko has also taught at TAC Co., Ltd., Japan’s leading school for CPAs and tax accountants, and has worked as an auditor for Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC.
Nobuko has a Bachelor of Economics from Keio University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and is a certified public accountant. She is a lifelong Scott M. Johnson Fellow in the U.S.-Japan Leadership Program of the United States-Japan Foundation. She also served as Manager for the Japan Gender Parity Task Force at the World Economic Forum. Nobuko volunteers at the Kamiyama Scholarship Foundation, providing scholarships to future leaders pursuing overseas advanced academic degrees, and also spends time mentoring younger high school students. She enjoys traveling, playing golf, fine dining, and spending time with her young son.

旧公認会計士二次試験合格後、TAC株式会社公認会計士講座専任講師に就任。その後、新日本監査法人（現新日本有限責任監査法人）にて監査業務に携わった後、ファミリービジネスのマネジメントメンバーとしてグループ企業の再編に従事。MBAを取得した後、マッキンゼー・アンド・カンパニー東京支社に入社し、主に消費財、ヘルスケア企業を対象に、組織再編、組織風土改革、収益力強化、新規事業戦略等のプロジェクトに従事。途中スイスの世界経済フォーラムに出向し、日本における男女間格差是正タスクフォースのプロジェクトマネージャーを務める。 神山財団理事および奨学金制度プロジェクト統括。米日財団日米リーダーシッププログラムフェロー(Scott M. Johnson Fellow)。
慶應義塾大学経済学部卒業、ノースウェスタン大学 ケロッグ・スクール・オブ・マネジメントにてMBA取得。公認会計士。
