Rising Talents

The Women’s Forum Rising Talents initiative is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2017. Since 2007, Egon Zehnder, Eurazeo, and EY have invited around twenty high achieving young women to take part in their “Rising Talents” program, a global initiative that celebrates the success of remarkable women who are on their way to becoming leaders in their chosen fields.

The result demonstrates Egon Zehnder’s deep commitment to diversity and active support for the next generation of female leaders. As many women have discovered, it sometimes takes more than talent to realize their full potential; recognition, support and opportunity are equally significant. By supporting events like the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society and programs like Rising Talents, Egon Zehnder helps catalyze change and enable female voices to be heard for the future benefit of global business and society.

The Rising Talents program celebrates the achievements of young women who are active in social issues, science, research, politics, art, the media, sports, NGOs and particularly business, from large corporations to entrepreneurial start-ups.

An idea whose time has come, the Rising Talents program was founded in 2007 as part of the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society. Long regarded as the female equivalent of the predominantly male World Economic Forum in Davos, the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society enables participants to share ideas and establish relationships that will benefit them for years to come. The growing community of Rising Talents alumnae, with over 180 members from 52 countries, provides important networking opportunities and a strong sense of support and community.

To be eligible for the Rising Talents program a woman must be 40 or less, display outstanding skill and courage in their professional and/or personal lives, and show a proven ability to take risks and inspire significant change in their organizations and communities.

Candidates are consciously drawn from all five continents; despite their differences, what unites all these women – beyond fluency in English – is their ability to change the world in ways that go far beyond their specialist fields.

Above all they must demonstrate both a significant ability to carry through ambitious projects, and the clear possibility of achieving great things in the future. For the Rising Talents program, potential is as important as track record.
